Hello. My name is Joanne Grassman, and I am the Student Services Director for the Columbus School District. This position involves a great deal of work with special education services. It also supervises Alcohol and Other Drug Programming, services for English Language Learners, Title 1 services, Community Learning Services, as well as a hodge-podge of other services. Prior to working here in Columbus, I worked for 12 years as a School Psychologist. I have taught classes in career exploration for girls, alcohol/drug prevention, parenting, alternatives to aggression, special education needs, and summer school for pre-kindergarten students. I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and earned a Master's degree plus certification in School Psychology from UW Eau Claire. I also hold a Master's degree in Educational Administration from UW Madison. On a personal note, I have two wonderful children -- a daughter in college and a son in high school.

Hi, I’m David Fischer. I have a Master’s Degree in School Psychology and an Education Specialist Degree from UW-Eau Claire. I currently work with students and families throughout the district, K-12. I'm Bob Jansen, one of the Guidance Counselors who works with 9th thru 12th grade students at Columbus High School. I have been a counselor at Columbus since 1982. I have my Master's degree in Guidance and Counseling; and I have worked with students and families regarding career preparation, academic issues, and social and emotional problems along with drug and alcohol issues. I also help students develop decision-making and problem-solving skills. Our main concern is to prepare students for the challenges of the 21st century through academic, career, and enhanced personal/social development.

I'm Mark Jurovic. I have a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Wisconsin, and am a Nationally Certified Counselor. My wife and I have three children of our own, ages 23, 20 and 17. I taught high school biology and math in the State Department of Corrections before earning my Counseling Degree. I have been with the Columbus Public Schools for 28 years! I started as a part-time high school counselor and part-time elementary school counselor before becoming the full-time Elementary Counselor. I am most proud of the work I have done to help young students and families in need and for the development of the Elementary Guidance Program.

My name is Katy Kraemer, and I am the Director of Community Learning Services --the district's Community Education Program. I attended the University of Wisconsin—Madison, and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. Most of my coursework involved early childhood intervention. My background includes working in the areas of early childhood education for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, parenting education, home visiting, serving individuals with developmental disabilities and alternative and holistic special education methods.
