Mental Health

Did you know that 20% of all children between 11-18 years old have such severe mental illness that professional help is needed? That's one out of every five kids! Depression, Anxiety Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and other mental illnesses may cause difficulty with relationships and behavior, as well as problems at school or with the police.

Mental health problems in young people can also lead to tragic consequences such as suicide, substance abuse, the inability to live independently, involvement with the correctional system, failure to complete high school, a lack of vocational success, and health problems.
