Depression

As parents we realize that our kids experience the normal ups and downs of life. Children can become sad or moody when not getting their way. They may be saddened about a friend moving away or not doing as well as they would have liked on a school assignment. Sometimes it's difficult to know if what your child is experiencing is a normal part of growing up, or if it is something more serious.

**For suicide intervention call 1-800-273-TALK(8255) for the Suicide Prevention Lifeline. You will be connected with a local crisis center for counseling or emergency services, if needed. All calls are private and confidential.
